The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) station in Sault Sainte Marie, Michigan, continues working to improve the border-crossing experience for travelers through use of RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) technology, which is now is a built-in component of all new U.S. passports, passport cards, enhanced driver's licenses, and CBP's own Trusted Traveler Cards.
