The Americas Section of the ISRP (International Society for Respiratory Protection) is holding a seminar for training in the most current areas of interest in respiratory protection in Montreal on October 6 entitled “Respiratory Protection Issues in Emergency Response and Healthcare”. The seminar is designed for emergency response (police, fire and emergency medical) services, occupational health and safety researchers, regulatory authorities, healthcare safety professionals, as well as manufacturers and suppliers of safety equipment. ISRP members who are unable to attend the Society’s 14th Biennial conference in Dublin during September are also encouraged to attend.
Topics will include:
- Updates on standards development in the USA and Canada as well as ISO
- Selection of respiratory protective equipment (RPE) and guidance information
- Respiratory protection for healthcare operations
- Performance studies and comparisons of RPE
- Update from ISRP’s 14th Biennial Conference in Dublin
The seminar will be held from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm with registration open at 8:30 am. A lunch will be provided. A small table-top trade exhibit will be held and equipment and service suppliers are invited to exhibit their products and attend the seminar.
