Ahura Scientific FirstDefender Now Available Through DHS CEDAP

Ahura Scientific, Inc. is pleased to announce the availability of First Defender through DHS Commercial Equipment Direct Assistance Program (CEDAP).  FirstDefender is being offered as a bundle with MSA’s Sirius Multigas Detector as the comprehensive CEDAP Chemical Detection Kit.  Visit www.ahurascientific.com/cedap or call 978-642-1132 for application assistance.CEDAP is a direct assistance program, not a grant program, which assists smaller communities in acquiring and using commercially available equipment to prevent, deter and respond to terrorist attacks. Equipment and training are provided free of charge to awarded agencies.The CEDAP 2007 Application period is now underway.  The primary goal of CEDAP is to meet the equipment needs of smaller jurisdictions by providing communications interoperability, information sharing, chemical detection, sensors, personal protective equipment, technology, and training in using the equipment.  Awards are made to law enforcement and emergency responder agencies not currently eligible for funding through the Department’s Urban Areas Security Initiative (UASI) grant program.
