The BioDetect Orthopox testentifies select viruses in the Orthopox family, of which Variola major (the causative agent for smallpox) is of greatest concern.
BioDetect tests combined with either the Guardian or Defender TSR Readers give rapid, accurate and archived results. Designed to run in parallel, all eight tests can be completed in less than 40 minutes with 15 minutes to first report.

Full wireless capabilities allow secure communication of results anywhere in the world. Featuring industry standard Windows Mobile® software, the Defender TSR runs a variety of response software.
