American Military University One of the First Schools Selected for Air Force Associate-to-Baccalaureate Program

CHARLESTOWN, W.Va., — The U.S. Air Force has selected American Military University (www.amuonline.com) as one of the first schools in its Air University Associate-to-Baccalaureate Cooperative Program (AU-ABC) (http://www.amu.apus.edu/Air-Force/CCAF.htm). The AU-ABC program partners with civilian universities to offer four-year degree programs to enlisted personnel that have earned associate degrees from the Community College of the Air Force (CCAF). Boston, Jr., president and chief executive officer of American Military University (AMU). "We're also pleased to support the Air Force's goal of encouraging more students to further their studies – and help military students and others become 'mission-ready.'" AMU is a part of American Public University System (www.apus.edu), which serves approximately 25,000 students worldwide – of whom more than 80 percent are active duty, Guard or reserve members. The university offers 50 undergraduate and graduate degree programs in an affordable and flexible online format (http://www.amu.apus.edu/Academics/Degree-Programs/index.htm). A major cost savings to students is the university book grant, which provides textbooks at no charge to undergraduates if they are seeking academic credit and maintain satisfactory academic standing. Military tuition assistance, available to eligible active-duty service members, covers undergraduate tuition for up to six courses per year. As part of the AU-ABC program, AMU guarantees that airmen who have achieved the qualifying CCAF degrees can complete their bachelor's degree in 60 semester hours or less and will receive a minimum of 61 semester hours total transfer credits toward the bachelor's degree.
