Washington – U.S. Customs and Border Protection today announced the release of the first in a series of podcasts. The podcasts are designed to answer travelers’ frequently asked questions in a brief and understandable forum.

The first “Travelcast” describes the approved travel documents U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents need to provide when they return from international destinations. It is the first of many podcasts that will cover a variety of topics from bringing home food and alcohol, or traveling with medications, to trusted travel programs and personal duty exemptions.

Individuals can access the podcasts on the CBP website at by clicking on the News Feeds link or going to the Audio Gallery. Podcasts are being initially posted in both English and Spanish. As the program develops, CBP may include other languages as well. (Podcasts)

As the summer season approaches, CBP hopes the podcasts will be a valuable tool to help people plan their travels abroad and make their entry to the U.S. more efficient.
