Cross Match Receives Department of Homeland Security SAFETY Act Full Coverage for Livescan Systems

Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., Sept. 24, 2007 – Cross Match Technologies, Inc., a global provider of biometricentity solutions, has been awarded SAFETY Act designation and certification by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) for its portfolio of livescan products, including the L SCAN® Guardian™ ten-print devices already deployed in the United States, Europe and the Middle East. As part of the Homeland Security Act of 2002, Congress enacted the Support Anti-terrorism by Fostering Effective Technologies Act (SAFETY Act) to encourage the development and deployment of anti-terrorism technologies while managing risk and liability associated with such applications.
