Discover the E2M Portable GC/MS From Bruker Detection

The E2M is a transportable, compact and rugged GC/MS system for fast, reliable onsiteentification and quantification of organic substances in soil, air, water and from surfaces. The E2M represents Bruker´s continuous advancements in miniaturization and performance of mobile GC/MS systems. It can be mounted on vehicles and operated while the vehicle is underway. The E2M uses 24 VDC which allows its use with the vehicle onboard power supply.

The E2M is able toentify any organic chemical from any medium (soil, water, air) within 20 minutes via complementary sampling techniques. Specifications and performance are not limited to a selected portion of chemicals. New libraries can be created and used by the customer. The detection limit for volatile organic compounds is from low ppb to the low ppm range depending on the analytical procedure, e.g. adsorbent enrichment (low ppb range) or on-line monitoring (approx. 1 ppm range) from ambient air. Training and operation is reduced to the lowest possible level while the reliability is increased.

The E2M is unique in providing real time monitoring with the air/surface probe that is able to analyze air, surface, liquid, or solid samples against customized Bruker chemical libraries in under a minute. This powerful tool enables screening for dangerous chemicals from libraries to include the following:

  • Comprehensive CWA list of over 200 compounds
  • TIC list of almost 2000 compounds
  • Solvents
  • Illicit Drugs

This capability would allow monitoring at critical events for thousands of dangerous chemicals at designated points of interest. It also allows quick analysis at or near the hazmat or hot zone or if a complete GC/MS run with the GC unit without costly transfer to laboratories some distance away. This gives the on site commander accurate situational awareness in the quickest possible time.

The E2M has many other groundbreaking features such as extremely low annual costs due to very limited consumable requirements, easy to use Graphical User Interface (GUI), and a complete sampling kit with instructions on any type of sample introduction to include SPME.
