Draeger Introduces Small, Robust 1 to 4 gas detector for personal monitoring

Pittsburgh, PA - Draeger Safety introduces  the X-am 2000 a light-weight personal gas monitor for testing 1 to 4 gases and vapors such as Oxygen, Carbon Monoxide, Hydrogen Sulfide and a combustible gases.  There are 3 different types of warnings built into the X-am 2000: an audible multi-tone alarm, a visual 180 degree alarm and a built-in vibrating alarm. It is designed with gas inlets on 2 surfaces allowing for measurements even when accidentally worn improperly. “It’s about the size and weight of your mobile phone.” Said Russell Warn, Project Manager. “It uses Draeger Sensors for long sensor life and reliable gas measurements. The size and weight of the new X-am 2000 is unique in today’s market and guarantees the users comfort and convenience.” The Drager X-am 2000 is designed for excessive wear and is intuitive to the user because of the 2-button control panel and straight forward menu. The catalytic EX sensor, calibrated to methane, not only responds quickly to explosive gases, but also offers a high level of sensitivity to combustible organic vapors providing dependable warnings in the field. The X-am 2000 is water-proof, and dust resistant. Integrated rubber protection and shock-proof sensors ensure additional resistance to impact and vibration as well as electromagnetic interference. Using a flexible power supply the X-am 2000 can work off of alkaline, NIMH or a T4 battery which can be recharged. It is equipped with an event data logger and function tests are simple and fast to complete. Editors Notes:
