MILWAUKEE, WI – To assist the Washington D.C. Department of Health in managing more than 2 million people attending the Presidential Inauguration and the several public events, EMSystems’ EMTrack™, the industry leading emergency communication and patient tracking solution, was used to support these events. EMTrack and EMSystems’ subject matter experts supported all Washington D.C. Department of Health medical aid stations that were set up specifically for the Presidential Inauguration and several public events. EMSystems provided extensive training and on-site support for all Department employees and volunteers in order to manage the extremely large crowds attending Pre-Inauguration events, the Presidential Inauguration, and the Inauguration parade. EMSystems provided dedicated personnel to support the teams in the medical aid stations and provided additional training and technical assistance. EMSystems also provided support in the Washington D.C. Heath Department’s Communications and Coordination Center to assist in providing patient tracking reports and data during and after the events. EMTrack enabled the Washington D.C. Health Department teams to quickly view, report, and manage patient transport activities on-site at these events. EMTrack significantly decreased the time needed to track and manage patients, time that was used to treat patients quickly and assist in family reunification efforts for the tracked patients. EMSystems also had subject matter experts on-site to provide advisory services for disaster planning and communication strategies throughout the events. “We were very honored to partner with the Washington D.C. Department of Health for the Presidential Inauguration. I am very proud of the EMSystems team members, who provided critical training and support for this important event,” states Andy Nunemaker, CEO, EMSystems. A leading expert in emergency preparedness and response for special events, EMSystems’ solutions were also used at the Democratic National Convention in Denver, Colorado and in other high profile public events throughout the United States.
