Exostar Extends its Secure Identity Services to Federal, State and Local Agencies

HERNDON, Va. Both certifications can be viewed at http://www.cio.gov/fpkipa/cpl.htm and http://fips201ep.cio.gov/apl.php respectively.   Background:   Homeland Security Presidential Directive-12 is a presidential mandate outlining commonentification card andentity systems standards for federal employees and contractors.  HSPD-12 implements a new standardizedentification and credentialing process, designed to enhance security, reduceentity fraud, and protect the personal privacy of those issued governmententification.  Identity needs to be consistent across departments and agencies, and should be applicable across both physical and logical access.
