In this six course certificate program, students will closely analyze terrorism and natural disasters. Understanding these events and learning effective responses are vital to the homeland security system, which includes national policies and defense strategies. Students will examine the roots of terrorism and successful counter-measures, as well as the impact and implications of man-made and natural disasters.

These six courses are 3 undergraduate credits each. They can be taken towards the Certificate in United States Homeland Security Studies, or can be taken standalone, and in any sequence.
