Led by former Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response, Dr. Craig Vanderwagen, M.D., Rear Admiral, United States Public Health Service (Retired); MBA will provide strategic direction to increase the effectiveness of Upp Technology's public health and public safety solutions.
The partners will develop and enhance innovative technology solutions in the areas of inventory, asset and patient management through scalable Web technology for both day-to-day and emergency use. In the capacity of strategic advisor, Vanderwagen will provide expert insight on how Upp Technology can continue to provide sustainable value to its current client base. He will also work to strengthen the company's collaboration with federal, state and local public health officials and first responders.

Dr. Craig Vanderwagen joined Martin, Blanck & Associates following a distinguished 28 year career in public service as a commissioned officer in the United States Public Health Service (USPHS), Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). His assignments included many deployments in disaster environments, including his service as lead federal health official in Louisiana after Katrina from August-November, 2005; lead public health official and senior officer aboard the USNS Mercy in Indonesia after the tsunami in 2005; and Director of Primary Care and Public Health for the Ministry of Health in Iraq from September 2003-March, 2004.
