Fortified Holdings Corp. (OTCBB: FFDH) ("Fortified" or the "Company") is pleased to announce that its wholly owned subsidiary, Fortified DataCom has been awarded a purchase order under the Department of Homeland Securities initiative and FEMA program: Commercial Equipment Direct Assistance Program ("CEDAP"). CEDAP complements the FEMA National Preparedness Directorate's other major grants programs to enhance regional response capabilities, mutual aid, and interoperable communications by providing technology and equipment, together with training and technical assistance required to operate that equipment, to public safety agencies in smaller jurisdictions and certain metropolitan areas. CEDAP provides equipment, equipment training, and equipment technical assistance valued at approximately $33.7 million (FY 2007) to first responder organizations across the Nation. This competitive program is a direct assistance program which provides the equipment and technical assistance directly to the selected jurisdictions. Additional program information is available from the Department of Homeland Security. The procurement awards a 2-year contract with an estimated total value of just over $2.2M. Fortified will provide approximately 40 NOMAD C4XSB Incident Command Platform deployable command & control systems per year to a total of 80 units, further expanding the current installed base of NOMAD platforms in the US. Each NOMAD system will include CoBRA emergency response decision support software manufactured by Defense Group, Inc., with additional resource management capability provided by Xentrak software, a product of MSPX, Inc.
