Washington D.C., - A combined life-preserver/SCUBA unit that allows First Responders an immediate rescue option for victims trapped underwater is the latest in a line of rescue products from Global Secure Safety Products, a division of Global Secure Corp., an integrated homeland security company.

RESCUEPAC(tm) is an ultra-portable, rapid-deployment system, suitable for use by dive qualified first responders. It has been designed to tackle head-on the problem of death caused by automobile submersion. RESCUEPAC(tm) combines an over-the-head life preserver and mask with a fifteen minute air supply to allow the rescue of individuals trapped underwater in their motor vehicle in coastal waters, rivers and lakes. Every year vehicles come off bridges or banks into water, trapping victims inside, and nearly half of all flash-flood related submersions are automobile related. In these cases, first responders have only a very short space of time in which to effect a rescue before the vehicle fills with water and the occupants drown.
