HGH Infrared Systems Introduces Their Border Solution

Cambridge, MA – For the first time in ten years, the majority of border crossings have moved from the Arizona border to the Rio Grande border in Texas. According to the New York Times recent article “Apprehensions at the Mexican Border — the single best indicator of illegal traffic — are still far below their peak: there were 356,873 last year, compared with 1.6 million in 2000.” A new solution needs to be implemented. This week, the Senate is supposed to resume discussion on immigration reform bills. If passed, more spending would be given to more fencing and border agents as well as an improvement on modern, high-tech vehicles.

HGH Infrared Systems, a global provider of 360 degree thermal imaging systems, introduces their high resolution system for wide area surveillance at the US border.  With illegal immigrants, human traffickers and drug smugglers finding new and creative ways to cross the border or get their cargo across borders, Border Patrol must constantly be improving their technology. HGH’s Spynel camera is a complete, high resolution, near real time, thermal camera with full panoramic imaging coupled with detection and tracking software.

While effective and inexpensive, the system can monitor miles of perimeter on land or at sea. Differing from traditional systems, Spynel can also detect threats day or night, in any weather condition as well as through brush and between trees and fences. Moreover, an unlimited number of threats will be tracked at any time.

Spynel has been deployed with the US Department of Defense in Afghanistan, proving its reliability to work 24/7/365 in the harshest of climates. Spynel iseal to be mounted on fixed towers, atop a vehicle, or to monitor the coast line.
