August 2005 - When it comes to threat scale response sensitivity, the new LG IrisAccess 4000 system shows versatility that's rare, if not unparalleled in biometrics. The advanced intuitive user interface that automatically and effortlessly captures images of both eyes at enrollment lets the newest version of the worlds leading iris–recognition platform switch effortlessly from left eye, right eye, either eye or both eye recognition mode to system-mandated two eye authentication. And both eyes use an improved countermeasures suite to the Current LG product that experts already concede is best in . Two eye authentication dramatically increases authentication accuracy that with one eye alone already exceeds that of any other biometric.
The new LG IrisAccess 4000 can also be configured to add layered multi-factor authentication with a variety of device-embedded smartcard readers and/or a keypad that facilitates use of up to 10 digit PINS and interactive communication between an authenticated user and a host. A facial recognition-ready camera, purpose-built illumination, and facial recognition camera drivers built into the system also provide the ability to add biometric multimodality to the new LG platform.
In short, LG has built a system that has added security capability built in, so that when threat levels go up, users can check, double-check and check again to ensure that the right people get where they need to be while denying access to all others.
