Las Vegas, NV and Washington, D.C. – May 7, 2007 – LTU Technologies, the global leader in image search and recognition solutions, announced it will be previewing its new image forensics technology, Image-Seeker™ for EnCase® (ISE) for Enterprises, this week at both the Computer and Enterprise Investigations Conference (CEIC) in Las Vegas and the GovSec, U.S. Law and Ready! conference in Washington D.C. In addition to previewing the technology, P. Kevin Smith, vice president for LTU Technologies, will be a featured speaker at CEIC. CEIC, sponsored by Guidance Software, is the premier conference for computer forensic professionals in law enforcement, government agencies and corporate environments. Smith will lead a session aimed at presenting the benefits of investigative image recognition (identifying original, copies and redacted versions of criminal images, detecting pornography, currency, still images, video clips and other sensitive data) to optimize the response time and accuracy of forensics analysis, “Image Recognition Software as a Critical Component of Your Forensic Tool Kit.” GovSec, U.S. Law and Ready! features an exposition with a full spectrum of physical, IT and cyber security solutions, alongside wireless and mobility communications equipment for federal, state and local governments. The announcement regarding Image-Seeker™ for EnCase® (ISE) for Enterprises falls on the heels of LTU Image-Seeker™ for EnCase®, released in November of 2006. Image-Seeker™ for EnCase® is a comprehensive search and retrieval software solution used forentifying specific images among large databases of visual assets. Delivered as a plug-in for the industry-standard EnCase® platform, ISE boosts law enforcement and government investigators’ ability to quickly analyze and index images while in the field and away from the lab. Ultimately, even first responders to an investigation site can immediately determine whether a computer has been used to facilitate a crime. Now with ISE for Enterprises, corporate organizations can utilize the same image analysis that government agencies have been using for years. The software will most often be used to analyze images on remote laptops connected to a company’s network to search andentify inappropriate content, such as pornography or copyright material. Ultimately, the technology provides organizations another layer of security. “We look forward to introducing our new technology to people at both conferences this week. Our hope is to speak with those who may not yet realize the importance of image search and recognition technology as well as to those who are familiar with the work we’ve done in the government market. It will be a great opportunity to reach several target markets and bring them up to speed on our latest developments,” commented P. Kevin Smith, VP of Sales North America for LTU Technologies.
