Microsensor Systems, Inc Announces Their CW Sentry 3G 24/7 Chemical Agent Detector With Expanded Detection Capabilities

Bowling Green, KY – 7 June, 2004 – Microsensor Systems, Inc. (MSI) has recently announced the release of the CW Sentry 3G, a third generation facility protection instrument, an upgrade to the former CW Sentry Plus. The new CW Sentry 3G provides improved sensitivity for nerve and blister agents atLH levels.

Another new feature is detection and reporting of total VOCs or hazardous compounds. This feature will inform operators of an unusual increase in total toxic industrial chemicals (TICs) in the atmosphere greatly increasing the detection warning capability of the instrument. MSI has also added optional Ethernet capability to the 3G to provide increased connectivity to existing networks. Lastly, the 3G software has been expanded to allow the end-user the flexibility to choose from four different report formats.

The CW Sentry 3G is a SAW (Surface Acoustic Wave) based fixed installation Chemical Agent detector capable of simultaneous detection andentification of nerve, blister, blood and choke agents as well as halogen and hydride gases. The 3G was engineered for 24/7/365 use and has several backup features to maintain operational readiness of the monitor. The CW Sentry 3G has an internal check source to remotely validate proper operation of the SAW devices and is modularly designed for easy maintenance.

CW Sentry 3G detectors are engineered to provide the best selectivity for CWAs in real world, complex chemical environments. They are simple to operate, field proven and cost-effective to operate. As with its predecessor the 3G has programmable alarm levels to meet the end-user’s application needs and provides alarms for low, medium and high threat detection levels.
