Bowling Green, KY – Microsensor Systems, Inc. (MSI) has recently announced the development of a software interface for the CW SentryTM 3G 24/7 chemical agent detector for facilities monitoring. This new graphical user interface (GUI) provides a single, consolidated view of a multi-node network of CW SentryTM 3Gs into a graphical map of the facility being monitored. Sensor data is fed back to and displayed on the GUI by physical location in real-time keeping the command center abreast of the facilities safety status at all times.

The interface can monitor up to 100 CW SentryTM 3G detectors simultaneously and maps the specific location of each instrument on the site map. Placing the cursor over an instrument icon will provide real-time sensor information to the user.

If a sensor should alarm, the GUI will automatically flash an alarm at the specific CW SentryTM 3G location on the site map. If multiple alarms should signal simultaneously, the user has the ability to select which alarming sensor to view through the use of a convenient menu listing all alarm locations. Alarms are graphically and audible displayed with standard color queues; Red to indicate an alarm has occurred, Yellow to indicate a fault has occurred and Green to indicate the sensor is free of any alarms and all is clear.

All data transmitted from the various sensor locations will be archived on hard drive. This file structure would be for each location and a sub file for each day’s data. These files would consist of one-line reports as transmitted by the monitor.

Additional features of the software interface include the ability to create a user-specified facility map by importing and modifying a CAM-type drawing of a site installation. The interface can be web-based and can access the nodes across the networking using either 802.11b wireless or standard 10BaseT Ethernet protocols.

The interface also supports two way communications with remote instruments on the network to allow changes to be made to system parameters and to send command functions to a selected instrument.
