TAMPA — Modu-Built Industries, Inc. has teamed up with Stamm Manufacturing to produce an elevated guard booth. The Modu-Built Vantage is a lightweight, fiberglass guard booth on a trailer mounted scissor lift. With an eye level height of up to 23 feet, the Vantage gives security and law enforcement personnel the ability to monitor crowds, perimeters and the surrounding area from a stationary point. With the increased security at ports, along the borders and at special events, the Modu-Built Vantage gives law enforcement another tool to protect public safety. Custom built to the specifications of the customers, the building is five feet wide and can be either five, seven or nine feet in length, giving the customer room to comfortably fit one or two officers. It features a Kubota 7000GL generator powering the lights, HVACs and any custom equipment that the customer chooses. Among the custom options available are: security cameras, exterior flood lights, custom graphics, furniture, window tint and an upgraded trailer to handle all types of terrain. The exterior of the building is made of fiberglass with a gel coat finish, making the building lightweight, durable and extremely corrosion resistant. Inside the building is the same gel coat finish over the fiberglass shell and insulating foam. The base layer of the floor is a steel frame, covered by a betopan floorboard. Betopan, a type of concrete fiberboard, is very durable and long lasting and, when wet, will not warp or corrode. The top layer of the floor is either a slip resistant, vinyl mat or aluminum treadplate. Both are easy to clean and have attractive, industrial looks. The scissor lift is custom made by Stamm Manufacturing, located in Fort Pierce, FL. The lift conforms to the latest version of ANSI/SIA A92.2 and all other applicable specifications and regulations. The hydraulic power is supplied by a 12VDC power unit with the reservoir direct mounted. In order to ensure the safety of the booth’s occupants, the lift features controls both on the ground and inside the booth. In addition to the elevated guard booth, Modu-Built also offers both fixed and mobile security guard booths, mobile command centers and mobile offices. These give security forces a temporary or permanent base to monitor activity at their facility that is both comfortable and visible.
