TheMSA Instrument Division is pleased to announce that the Solaris MultigasDetector has received approvals from both ATEX and CSA. ATEX (European) approvalfor intrinsic safety was accomplished in February 2004 and CSA (Canadian)approval for intrinsic safety was attained in April 2004. The Solaris MultigasDetector is UL approved for I, Div.1, Groups A, B, C and D and iscertified compliant with ISO 9001 provisions.

TheSolaris Multigas Detector performs simultaneous monitoring of up to four gases,including LEL, O2, CO and H2S, in a small and economical unit. Other features ofthe Solaris Detector include a fresh-air setup safeguard, rubberized armorhousing for impact protection and an IP/65 rating for water and dust ingress.

TheUniversal Pump Probe may also be used with the Solaris Detector to performremote sampling. This high-efficiency pump can be used with up to 50 feet oftubing and features MSAs patented PulseChecktechnology, ensuring proper pump function.
