(Phoenix Group), a Service –Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) based in Chesapeake, VA is proud to announce that the Sigmon System (Hazardous Materials Suit) has received the NFPA 1992 – 2012 Edition Certification.  The NFPA 1992 Certification is a standard for Liquid Splash Protective Ensembles.  The Certification was issued by SEI Corporation.

The Sigmon System Suit is designed for Emergency Services Personnel responding to Hazardous Materials Incidents.  The Sigmon System Suit is unique in that the Suit is a One Piece design Suit with attached gloves and footing.  The Sigmon System Suit also has a carbon liner along all possible entry points. The Sigmon System Suit is currently being used by Federal, State and Local Hazmat Teams across the United States. The Sigmon System Suit can also be used as a protective Suit in the event of a Chemical, Biological Incident (meets/exceeds OSHA Level B/C Standards and previously NFPA 1994 3 Certified 2001 edition).  The Sigmon System Suit can be worn with an APR (Air-Purifying Respirator) or an SCBA (Self Contained Breathing Apparatus).  The Sigmon System Suit is manufactured using a Kappler Zytron Fabric.
