Alexandria, VA - Previstar is offering its CEMPlanner emergency planning software service at no cost to city and county Emergency Management and Public Health organizations to bolster their planning processes and emergency plans in 2011. The offer is part of its Partnering for Preparedness program and is open to enrollment to the first 10 qualifying jurisdictions per state that subscribe to the service by March 31, 2011.
“Previstar is proud to launch our Partnering for Preparedness program. We believe this is a partnership that will enhance community resiliency and promote emergency management excellence. Emergency planners will have access to a web-based, collaborative platform that is based on the latest preparedness standards and enables them to engage and more easily integrate all levels of community stakeholders into the planning process, including volunteer, non-profit and private sector organizations”, said Jim Fetters, President & COO.
The complimentary service lasts for 12 months and includes training and customer support. At the end of the term, organizations can purchase a license for continued use of the service or cancel the subscription with no obligation. All information, including emergency plans and resource inventories created during the 12-month complimentary phase can be downloaded to MS Word or Excel so that customers are not “locked” into continuing the service.
“The reality is, budgets are extremely tight right now,” said Joe Gordon, VP Marketing and CEMPlanner’s co-designer. “And many budgets are still being cut. This offer provides organizations with a proven planning tool today without tying up limited budgets needed for other operational objectives. CEMPlanner increases capacity and efficiency throughout the planning process helping organizations with limited resources to do more with less.”
