Belcamp, MD - In response to the call for need as outlined in the DR-SKO developed by the JPM-NBC CA and approved by the JPEO-CBD, QuickSilver Analytics, Inc. (QS) has been selected to provide integral CBRN sampling and supplies for inclusion into the overall system. With over twenty years of experience in the CBRN analytical and sampling arena, it is with great pride that QS accepts the opportunity to provide support to the program through their extensive knowledge and expertise with regards to expendables, supplies, sampling and support. This collaborative effort that has been in progress for years and has recently (March 2014) been approved for full rate production is scheduled for initial delivery in September 2014 to the U.S. Navy.
The need for a standardized set of reconnaissance equipment that addresses the full CBRN spectrum to be deployed to Warfighters in the field that was consistent and sustainable is an issue that has emerged within the past decade. The solution was realized through the system of the DR-SKO development.
The selection of system components, which was spearheaded by a team of scientists, engineers, logistics specialists, and program analysts from within the JPM, was focused on a broad range of criteria indicative of the type of environment that would be expected by the military. The resultant DR-SKO system, which includes the QS sampling kit model: QSA 102, is one that best balances performance and affordability while offering the best capability possible for our Joint Forces (U.S. Navy, U.S. Army, U.S. Army Reserve, U.S. Army National Guard, U.S. Marine Corps, and U.S. Air Force) safety and readiness.
