August 2005 - The BiSKit is designed to sample surfaces for bacteria, viruses, toxins and DNA and to deliver the sample in a liquid with sufficient volume for extensive testing and archiving. It is designed to sample a large area (1sq. meter). It is also unique in the manner in which the device is employed. During the sampling process, the user does not come into contact with the potentially contaminated surface, the components of the device, or the sample. Thus, the design of the BiSKit precludes the possibility of cross-contamination or contamination of the user.
The QS Molle Vest CB Sampling Kit was developed in-house and is equipped and designed for the war fighter. All the required, unbreakable sampling tools and equipment needed in a strategic tactical environment are included. Each Molle pouch is compartmentalized for ease-of-use and segregated by sampling type, e.g., liquid, solid/wipe, administrative supplies, etc. and is compatible with all fielded Molle load bearing gear. All sampling tools are dual use, effective for either chemical or biological samples.
