HAWTHORNE, Calif. - Rapiscan Systems, a global leading supplier of security inspection systems, announced today that it has been awarded a follow on order for approximately $15 million for its Rapiscan 620DV (Dual-View) Advanced Technology X-Ray scanning systems from the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). This order brings the total amount awarded to date to approximately $32 million since receiving an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity Order from the TSA in August 2007. The TSA has deployed the Rapiscan 620DV at various locations including the Los Angeles International Airport. The deployment at Los Angeles International Airport represents the largest installation of AT systems at any single site in the United States. The Rapiscan 620DV allows security officers to obtain multiple views of a carry-on bag. Additionally, the systems have the ability to be upgraded in the future as new capabilities are developed.
