Remploy Frontline's SR3 Single-Piece CBRN Body Armor Delivers New Ease of Use

ALEXANDRIA, VA - Remploy Frontline announced today the forthcoming availability of the SR3, a new single piece solution that provides several breakthroughs for the CBRN industry. Time to assemble, weight, and complexity have all been significantly reduced with the design of the SR3. The SR3 leverages many of the current Frontliner features for Immediate Action Procedure while delivering new advantages. The end result is an intelligent technological advance that offers high protection levels and quick don in less than five minutes for military personnel and first responders. New developments include the following:

  • Single one piece, double skin coverall with two different hoods (butyl seal and don cowl hoods);
  • Weight (without ancillaries) 2.2 KGs, a 38% reduction from the Frontliner's 3.6KGs;
  • Significantly lower physiological burden creating quick dress speed;
  • Lightweight fabric -- GORE® CHEMPAK® Sorptive -- offers better breathable material; and
  • Use of thumb loops and foot stirrups to reduce donning time.

"This represents a significant breakthrough for the CBRN industry," said John Armstrong, GM of Remploy Frontline. "We have built a new garment that meets the military and first responder community's requests for lighter, faster and easier suits. Now they get the best of both worlds with CBRN protection from two layers of high-grade fabric in a new, single piece suit that allows for a more rapid response." About Remploy Frontline Ltd.
