Remploy, the UK’s leading specialist employer of disabled people, launches the PHOENIX, a new lightweight and highly breathable CBRN protection suit.
The Phoenix is 30% lighter compared to CBRN suits currently on the market, with a level of protection appropriate for ‘High risk-low hazard’ scenarios. Specifically designed to reduce thermal and physiological burden, it offers greater comfort and breathability for military and civil security personnel across the globe.
Chris Jackson, Remploy Frontline’s General Manager said: “The market has had a crucial need for a lighter, more comfortable CBRN suit that the Phoenix provides, and we are delighted to launch this improved product to our customers. Worn as a standalone uniform, the Phoenix offers the right balance between comfort and protection.”
The outer fabric of the Phoenix lightweight CBRN protection suit is inherently fire retardant, with a separate hood compatible with almost any respirator. The hood can be worn as part of the suit or for standalone protection.
This latest success underlines Remploy Frontline’s reputation as a world-leader in the design and manufacture of chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear (CBRN) personal protection suits and other garments for the emergency services and the military.
The Phoenix The Phoenix provides demonstrable improvement in comfort at high and low temperature and humidity. Sweat rate at high humidity is also lower when measured against conventional (Cbic) CBRN suits.
The Phoenix has been specifically developed to be conformant to the most recent changes within the NATO performance criteria for CBRN emergency PPE. i.e. High threat, low hazard for short term operational deployment.
