The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has installed 28 Smiths Detection aTiX units at Denver International airport, the second airport to complete a full switch to the advanced systems. Following a successful field trial at Albuquerque’s international airport, the TSA recently replaced all eight security checkpoint lanes with aTiX units. Additionally, the TSA deployed four aTiX units as part of the Checkpoint Evolution prototype at Baltimore/Washington International Airport which also included Smith Detection’s advanced automated security inspection process iLane http://www.smithsdetection.com/eng/iLane.php.
