Thermo Electron Adds the Orion 2-Star Electrochemistry Benchtop pH Meter to its Orion Star Series

Beverly, Mass. – Thermo Electron Corporation, a world leader in electrochemistry technology, today announced it has added the Orion 2-Star benchtop pH meter to its Orion Star™ Series, a line of meters, electrodes, accessories and solutions for electrochemistry measurement. This latest offering from Thermo Electron’s Water Analysis Instruments division extends the capabilities of the Orion Star Series by offering a more affordable alternative for general purpose pH measurement without sacrificing the accuracy and ease-of-use for which the line is known. “At Thermo Electron, we bring more than 50 years of electrochemistry expertise to our customers; yet we never stop looking for ways to tailor our products to their changing requirements and specific needs,” said Anand Shirur, Vice President and General Manager of Water Analysis Instruments at Thermo Electron. “With the introduction of the Orion 2-Star meter, customers in the industrial and education industries who require accurate pH testing now have a solution that is affordable and easy to use, the new Orion 2-Star is a perfect fit.” The new Orion 2-Star benchtop pH meter features an intuitive user interface with a simple push-button keypad and a pullout quick-start guide.  Other features include one, two and three-point calibration; auto calibration compatible with NIST and DIN buffers; and a 50-point data log that allows customers to store information within the unit.  As with the entire Orion Star Series, the Orion Technical and Applications Support team offers full technical support for the Orion 2-Star to customers worldwide.   To completely tailor the Orion 2-Star to customer requirements, the new meter comes in multiple package configurations designed to adapt to any laboratory environment.
