TVI Corporation Receives Major Order from the United States Air Force for Next Generation Decontamination Systems
GLENN DALE, Md. - TVI Corporation (NASDAQ: TVIN - News), a global supplier of rapidly deployable first receiver and first responder systems for homeland security, hospitals, the military, police and fire departments, and public health agencies today announced that it has received an order for more than $1.5 million from the United States Air Force (USAF) Medical Service for next generation decontamination systems.The USAF selected TVI to build a state-of-the-art In-Place Patient Decontamination Capability (IPPDC) system to be used by Air Force medics to decontaminate patients exposed to hazardous materials as well as chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear or high yield explosive (CBRNE) agents."This contract award is a significant accomplishment for TVI, and is the direct result of our innovative technology," said President and Chief Executive Officer of TVI Corporation Richard V.
