Twenty First Century Communications Aids Pandemic Response With Its Inbound Information Portal

COLUMBUS, OH - Twenty First Century Communications announces the availability of Inbound UCS and CRISCOM for the H1N1 Swine Flu crisis and pandemic events. These vital inbound mass communication tools provide both government and private enterprise the ability to provide real-time information on outbreak status, tips to stay healthy, and response updates. Also, an interactive inbound program can help maintain employee accountability and business continuity, by gathering and analyzing data from callers.

TFCC can quickly deploy this feature, using existing telephone numbers or by providing new information numbers if needed. Our systems are in active use every day globally by Hospitals, Health Departments, County Governments, and Corporations. Organizations can quickly:

  • Inform responders & other stakeholders
  • Maintain operations & services
  • Gather and analyze employee well-being & ability to work
  • Plan your response based on real data from your work force
  • Update messages in real-time, providing accurate & timely information
  • Survey citizens for health information or need for assistance

"Communication is critical during a crisis," said Jim Kennedy, founder and CEO of TFCC. "Organizations need to provide their employees, customers and constituents with information and support. Up-to-date information prevents the panic and isolation that can result from disease outbreaks."

Only TFCC has the inbound interactive call handling capacity and functionality to meet the communication needs of any type of organization. TFCC deployed the 1-877-LOVED-1S hotline for the American Red Cross in a matter of hours, which went on to help reunite over 40,000 displaced Katrina victims.

As of this Thursday, the H1N1 Swine Flu has been elevated to Phase 5, which represents pandemic or widespread human infection. "All countries should immediately activate their pandemic preparedness plans," said Margaret Chan, director-general of the World Health Organization.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention call Phase 5 a "strong signal that a pandemic is imminent and that the time to finalize the organization, communication, and implementation of the planned mitigation measures is short."
