Cubic Global Tracking Solutions Awarded Army's Wireless Mesh Network Expansion Contract for Kuwait Bases

Cubic Global Tracking Solutions has been awarded a contract of approximately $3.5 million for the U.S. Army to expand the use of the Next Generation Wireless Communications (NGWC) solution, which employs Cubic's wireless mesh network, for yard management applications at three U.S. bases in Kuwait.

Walden Subcommittee Allocates D Block

The Public Safety Alliance (PSA) has announced that it is pleased that the House Energy and Commerce Committee's Communications and Technology Subcommittee took action to allocate 10 MHz of spectrum within the 700 MHz band, or D block, to public safety while providing up to $6.5 billion for construction of a nationwide 20 MHz interoperable public safety broadband network for the nation's first responders.

EPA Releases Formerly Confidential Chemical Information

As part of Administrator Lisa P. Jackson's commitment to enhance the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's chemicals management program and increase transparency, the agency is making hundreds of studies available to the public on chemicals that previously had been treated as confidential business information (CBI). It is hoped that releasing this data will expand the public's access to critical health and safety information on chemicals that are manufactured and processed in the United States itself.
