TSA Announces Purchase of New Document Assessment Technology

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has announced that, to further enhance travel safety, it will purchase and pilot new technologies designed to improve TSA's ability to identify altered or fraudulent passenger identification credentials and boarding passes. TSA plans to test the technology at select airports in early 2012.
